Fun diving on Koh Tao

If you are already certified, hop on our own boat and explore more than 25 dive sites around Koh Tao. We dive deep pinnacles in the morning and calm reefs in the afternoon, with a guide who knows every rock.

Our own boat, our own schedule

Having our own boat means we choose the sites, and we visit four of them a day. Morning trips head to the deeper pinnacles, afternoon trips to shallower, calmer reefs, and we never dive the same site twice in a row.

Conditions on Koh Tao are often close to perfect: mild currents or none at all, flat water, good visibility and water between 26 and 30 °C.

Sail Rock every Saturday

Sail Rock, a granite pinnacle between Koh Tao and Koh Phangan, is widely rated the best dive site in the Gulf of Thailand: huge schools of fish, barracuda and batfish, whale sharks now and then, and a swim-through that enters at about 18 m and exits near 5 m.

The trip takes about 90 minutes each way and includes breakfast and lunch. It runs in good weather with at least 7 divers on board.

Night dives

On Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings the boat leaves at sunset for one dive on a sheltered reef, which looks completely different by torchlight.

Daily boat schedule

Morning07:00–11:30

  • 2 dives at deeper sites such as Chumphon Pinnacle or Southwest Pinnacle

Afternoon12:30–17:00

  • 2 dives at shallower, calmer reefs

Night dive18:30–20:30

  • 1 dive on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday

Requirements

  • An Open Water certification from any agency. If you are not certified yet, take our Open Water course
  • If you haven't dived for a while, start with a refresher dive (from ฿1,500)

We pick the best sites for the day's conditions and your level. Tell us your wishes in chat and we'll plan around them.

Is equipment included?

Yes. Full equipment, tanks and weights come with every fun dive.

Is Sail Rock OK for new divers?

Yes, for certified divers: it is easy to navigate by circling the rock, and your guide plans the dive to your level.

Do you have multi-dive prices?

Yes: 4 dives ฿3,400, 6 dives ฿4,800, plus ฿500 off for every ฿8,000 of fun dives.
